The round that they show on Hornady's website is 223 REM 75 GR TAP - FPD. Item # is 80268.  I Just shot some yesterday. It does have cannelure.

I Just looked at this thread again and realized that I totally didn't answer your question.  I was thinking ammo, and you were talking Hornady's bullets.  I was hoping that the Black Hills has a cannelure also, cause you can't find Hornady anywhere.   Maybe they don't sell the cannelured ones to the public and there is a deal on the side between Hornady and Black Hills.

So does anyone know if  the Black Hills 75gr. BTHP have cannelure?  I know the sierra one's don't.

Looks like BH 75 gr. does have cannelure, but I still wonder if you can get cannelured 75 gr. Hornady bullets for reloads.

If you read thru these, you will see. (referring to BH)

The BH load in 75gr has a cannalure. The hornady 75gr(talking just the bullet not a completed round here) as made by hornady does not have a cannalure, BH specs the bullet for the load with a cannalure and so thats wha hornady makes for them. If yer looking for the Hornady 75gr BTHP as a component for re-loading, you will not find it with a cannalure.

We are talking Bullet only? No Loaded ammo!

I have lots of Black Hills 75gr BTHP w/ cannelure!

Matter of Fact I use my hammer to make sure! the hammer wouldnt do the job at all just made my arm swore! used vise grips !! YUCKbut it has a cannelure like FOREST TOLD ME!!! Thanks Buddy

I have unloaded several M193,SS109/M855 And by Far BH 75 gr. was crimp to the max!! That bullet aint going back !

If I get me a 18 inch spr type upper or varmint I might start reloading for the 223 and would love this type of bullet to use Hornady75! Perfect for a auto/semiauto!
