What are your impressions of this round
I have access to it yet it is quite expensive.
$21.00 a box
Is this a good price and is it really worth it.
I bought a few boxes to try but i am thinking of getting a bunch for SHTF situations
My understanding is that Federal is trying to really restrict the sale of this but my local ffl told me he can get it for me.
Thanks for the info

Nothing in 5.56/.223 is better when shooting through barriers that are really stressful to bullets, like auto windshields. Nothing.

Your decision on whether you need it or not.

...to clear up what I mean (and what I think Troy means, he can correct me if I'm wrong) isn't that this round has magical "armor piercing" capabilities...it's just that it provides decent terminal performance as far as wounding and penetration after it's passed through tough barriers.

I have a question for Troy, which is relivent to this thread.
On the Federal LE website, they have a PDF on their LE .223 ammunition. In your opinion, do you feel that the performance in gel, after barrier penetration is accurate, as shown? With so much marketing hype these days, I don't want to rely on information which may be bogus.

Thanks, and sorry for the hijack.

the ink injection sure does make the wound cavity look huge. technically, it'd be nice to see calibration info for the gel, too.

however, that website is a HUGE step in the right direction. Nicely laid out with the various testing criteria with the rounds sorted by penetration. The glass test is especially interesting. You've gotta be one tough SOB of a bullet to get through glass relatively intact.

Dont the TBBC bullets also exhibit less delflection from POA than other rounds when passing through auto glass?

Thanks guys for the input
I just got to put some of this stuff down range and i was impressed. One ragged hole at 50yds with a few fliers. Thid ammo is also very clean burning stuff. I suppose it should be for the price.
I just ordered 25 boxes to have on hand.
