i was wondering if you could clean and polish ammo that has started to tarnish using a brass tumbler, like you do with empty brass, i have a lot of 5.56 that could use a cleaning.
I don't have a tumbler but am thinking about buying one just for that reason,

Just shoot it. Tarnished ammo shoots just as good. Just make sure the ammo is not corroded, however.

Tarnish is a cosmetic problem and shouldn't cause any problems in use.

yes if you want too you can tumble loaded ammo, it will be just fine. i have done it on more than one occasion and no problems of any kind, just nice clean ammo.

Great it's my long term storage ammo the good stuff if the SHTF stuff I would like to keep it clean polished and ready to function.
i seen what happened in New orleans, and I live in hurricane country and my neighborhood is not the best so i want to be ready as I can be,
