I'm looking for opinions on the Federal Sierra MatchKing BTHP 69 Grian. I need some quality ammo for my 18" SPR.

I've found it to be inconsistant. I much prefer the Black Hills ammo (and its cheaper too). For the SPR you really need some Mk262 Mod 1 to make 'the set'. Georgia Precision has some. Otherwise try the Black Hills 68gr OTM, 69gr SMK, 75gr OTM, or 77gr SMK.

Who has the cheaper price on blackhills? I was originally going with the Federal because it was cheaper.

FEDERAL WAS CHEAPER?????? TRY GEORGIA PRECISION, AND THE BLUE BOX (BLACK HILLS) IS DEFINITELY CHEAPER. I THINK IT GPSS.COM OR SOMETHING GEORGIA PRECISION SHOOTING SUPPLIES

Even the RED Box (new manufactured Black Hills is far cheaper). Remember the Federal is a box of 20 rounds (at $21/per box that is $1.05 per shot). The Black Hills is 50 rounds per box. The Red Box is $32.95 for the same 69gr SMK round - works out to $0.66 per round. Go with the blue box and your down to $0.48 per round (less than HALF the price of the Federal). BTW the 68gr OTM and the 75gr OTM are even cheaper...
