brass shelled

doesn't smell

none messy

mil spec

I've seen some Greek ammo online that looks good, but it's got allot of bad reviews.

Ammoman.com has what you need. You didn't specify how recent the production date must be. But Ammoman has new and older mil spec ammo that fits your description, mohammed!

I just bought 1000 rounds of Guatamelan surplus 5.56 at the local shoot here in Vegas. I have fired about 200 rounds and had 1 failure to fire. It also doesn't seem to be loaded as hot as the Walmart 40 round value packs. 1000 rounds: $115 out the door.

You didn't give yourself a lot of wiggle room with your specs. Basically, you're looking for M193. Your best bet is to look for deals online or at gunshows. Expect to pay about $150-180 per case of 1000.

Try Georgia Arms. It is remanufactured ammo, but everything I have used from there has been excellent. Their "canned heat" comes 500 rounds in an ammo can. 1000 rounds will run you about $149.94 + shipping.
