Does anyone have any experience with both brands of ammunition in both calibers?

I am shooting the .40 out of a Glock and USP, and want to simply make sure that both brands are of quality as to avoid the notorious glock KB.

.223 will be used in a savage bolt action, as well as my AR15.  Any reason to worry about either brand through those guns as well?

I've used their .223 in my AR for awhile now with no problems to report. They use once fired Lake City brass in there reloads. Seems like go clean ammo.

Edited to add:

That was the Ultramax. Have not tried the American and after Troy's post likely won't ever.

I just put 100 rounds of Ultramax .223 thru my AR. No problems. Punched a pretty fair group, too. Not quite on par with Q3131A, but plenty fine enough for dumpin' bowling pins at 100 yds. I have used the .40 in both my Glocks (22 and 23)....less than 100 rounds. I had one round that didn't go pop. Otherwise, no problems.

Put 500 rds. of Ultramax 55.gr FMJ thru my M4 last week. Lake City Brass, NO Malfunctions, Accurate and clean burning.
I like it. Would buy more. I was even more reassured by their 10 step quality Control measures listed on their website.

I tried a box of the American .223.   Every round keyholed.   The first round of the second mag had a bulged shoulder and wouldn't feed.  Absoloute garbage!   I had a dealer try to tell me that it was the same ammo as American Eagle, made by Federal.   It is definately not!

Run as far away as you can from that stuff!
