what did i buy. i was at a gunshow and got some ammo marked british ss-109. it was on strippers and packed in a bandoleer of 150 but its not painted green. its got mill-spec hard primer and nato stamp,purple seelent around primer and bullet

Supposed to be underpowered but some of the early lots were made at full power.

It's NOT AP. Its 62 gr, lead core, with a steel penetrator in the tip.

i shot some yesterday it does seem underpowered. its marked B.I.L. DRG. No. Q.V.112 ISS.1 1988

The Brits had to put less powder in their 5.56mm NATO cartridges to get their L85A1 rifles to function properly.  Not sure when they did this but some RG84 ammo I tested was full velocity.

I bought some of that and out of 5 shots, at least 1 wont cycle the action.  PITA!!!
