What would you consider great? Any type of round specifically? I think $119 for 1000 rounds is pretty good but you might not like Silver Bear ammo.

You should have bought it last year. The new low prices are a little higher.

I bought SA 86 for $45.00/300 battlepacks at the Indianapolis Gun Show Last weekend. Some there were selling it for $58.00/300 battlepack. O.K. O.K. I DO THE MATH THAT IS $150.00 PER 1,000 ROUNDS.

You just got to buy, when its right. When its a good deal buy as much as you can afford. Or you will regret it.

Try Sportsmans Guide, They have Barnul FMJ for $88.00/1000 + std shipping( about $12.00), less coupons. Wolf is about $100.00 + std shipping.

I can't locate the Barnaul on Sportsman's Guide, is it the "no brand" ammo in the black and purple box? Thanks. Sarge

Yeah it just seems that there were good deals on SA first, then LC, now seems like everything is going for primo prices. I guess i'll have to hit the gunshow circuit.

I have it on a good source that more SA 2700rd tubs are on the way. Keep dropping those quarters and dollars into the cookie jar, should be here around July. And this time around, don't dilly dolly about, just buy it. P.S. Have no idea on pricing yet. Last year they went anywhere from 250-375 depending on quantity.

anyone tried ammo from "Precision Cartridge"? The web site advertises 1000 rounds of reloads 55grfmj for $80 +fet+shipping. If you send them your brass. This seems like a good deal, as soon as i get 1000 pieces of brass toegther i may order some from them. here is the link if someone wants to try them out. www.precisioncartridge.com

You got the price WRONG! It's $85 and only for 500 rounds!

Precision Cartridge is semi-local to me, and they seem to be the main supplier of range ammo to the pistol ranges in my area. I've shot up a little of their .44 Spl. and .45 auto with no problems, but their prices seem awful high compared to other sources. http://www.miwallcorp.com has better prices on their reloads, and I seem to remember that they have pretty good prices on S&B .223.
