I have an AR with a DPMS 24" flutted bull barrel with a 1x8 twist (chambered for .223). When I shoot for best accuracy, I shoot Federal Gold Medal w/69gr Sierra MatchKing with great results. But, given the expense of this stuff, I'm looking for a cheaper alternative for plinking. I've used the SA surplus and Win Q3131A, but groups open up two or three inches.

Would the heavier 63gr bullet of the GP90 be more accurate in the 1x8 twist barrel than 55gr stuff? Are there any issues using this in a .223 chambered AR?

Thanks in advance,
LL

I've found the Swiss ammo to be quite accurate out of a 1:8" twist barrel.

This was from a RRA 20" "Varmint" barrel.
