Not for $550 retail for a lower and upper.

But....if you already have a MP5, money is not an object.

Not when I can get a PSA Glock mag lower for $69 and ETS 31rd mags for $10-$12/ea.

Plus that thing is ugly.  I thought Glock mag lowers were ugly at first, but man, that MP5 lower is hideous.

They did what I figured they would do, price it to be ridiculous.

$550 for the upper-lower (add shipping and transfer + tax in my state), add the other parts and now you are well over $1000+.

If I were interested in more MP5 related stuff, I would just buy POF or Zenith/MKE for $1200-1500 and have the real thing (well as close you you can get outside of scalper priced HK stuff).

At maybe $350-400 I might buy for the novelty.

Pass for now.

(and I was really waiting for this at one point)

If this were $350 for the set and ETS were to actually release their MP5 mags at around $20 street price, might be entertaining.

Next they need to do an MP5-10 lower for high-cap 10mm goodness...

My thoughts exactly.  I was really looking forward to it at one point, but at the price of the receiver set plus the cost of the other parts to make this a cool build, I could damn near buy a clone from MKE.  I think I’ll pass until they perhaps come down in price.

Any word what sort of bolt is required to work with the MP5 magazines?  And does the LRBHO work?

holy price.... don't they realize the market is down

Don't want to be a Debbie Downer, but they'll sell like 30 of them. Hope this is not the endeavor that bankrupts them.

I've said this before, if people want curve mags for AR9, and I'm one of them, OC10 should just focus their efforts on designing a curve mags for the Colt pattern AR9.

If Hillary was prez right now, they could probably sell them for $1,000/set.  I'm guessing they didn't plan on the market being where it is.

So after a two year wait not a single positive comment.
Once I find out the details of bolt etc I think I will have one, but sadly I will have to relegate it to use in the state of PA only.
Now if it could be made to work with a faster trigger topped with a can it might even be fun to shoot.

Close to  $800 for the receiver set and a bolt.

Good luck.

Agreed, I would either buy a CZ Scorpion or save for a little more for a Zenith or POF MP5 clone.

the only positive thing I can see out of this QC10 mp5 set is you could put a really nice ar trigger in it. The CZ scorpion or MP5 lack that.

It is likely priced to try and recover development costs, given the limited audience they surely know it must have, given the Glock and Colt options already there.

They also started developing this when the market was up, and the election was still looming. I admire them for following through with the project, despite the market decline.

I don't have a bunch of mags, so I won't be building one. That's why I went Glock, I was already logistically set up. But I think it's a pretty neat set up and I bet they'll look pretty sexy.

And I'm sure they'll have sales here and there that'll peel some cost off of the set for those of you who are interested, but dissuaded by cost.

They must not be flying off the shelves.  They're down to $460.  16.4% discount in 7 days.  We might see these around $350 by new years.

I like the idea of the product.

Should the price come down to earth I will likely buy a set

Even $460 is too high.

I agree maybe $350 is the sweet spot.

We shall see.

I agree with the majority of people here. Far too expensive...and the upper is not even a left side charger! I have been looking forward to this setup for a long time, but may have to wait till price becomes more reasonable.
Just a question out of curiosity. Their ad states   "•Accepts CLT9MM Bolt Assemblies",  but is that a proprietary bolt for their receivers only is that a standard AR Colt 9mm bolt?

QC10’s bolts all seem to be cut for Glock magazines, which is only slightly different from (and compatible with) Colt pattern bolts.

But I wonder if they have something “special” about that upper, either to match the lower, or to accommodate their own barrels.

I have a QC10 Glock Small Frame lower, one of their earliest, that features a pinned-in feed ramp.  It runs with both the Spikes 10” barrel and RRA 16” barrel uppers I have.  (Yes, it’s SBR’d.)  I’m not sure their newer ones would work as well with “standard” 9mm uppers since they discontinued the feed ramp.

And since I’ll have an MP5 clone in my hands next week, I’m not really sweating about this particular product.  I’d just like it if QC10 was a little more consumer friendly with their product “variations”.

Id rather have an AR lower that accepted Ruger 10-22 mags to work with my cmmg 22 AR upper.

AR style .22 mags are bulky and stupid
