CMMG, is there any chance you’ll be releasing a pistol version with the pdw brace like the op’s pic above in this thread??

How does the 45 acp. do with various hollow points? Is feeding reliable?

How reliable is "reliable"?
This review has me worried regarding hollow points: "I didn't have any luck cycling Speer hollow points, they warned me ahead of time...one malfunction per mag"
Watch here  Speed up to 11:29 for the above comment"
If true, I'd be a little apprehensive using the Guard as a defensive weapon if more reliable options are available. FMJ for HD? Not so much.

Any hope of getting one of these to run with the Troy Tomahawk short stock?  Swap the bolt and gas key, maybe add weight to the carrier.

I'm thinking about trying it once the parts are available.

Contact tech support with your serial number. There was a geometry change early on that increased overall rleiability with hollowpoints.

Will check to with twangandbang to see the nature of the malfunctiin and which geometry was used.

If you're releasing a 10mm, 460 Rowland or 45 Super version next week, which I will order, then I should be all set using hollow points right?

No, they are completely different systems.
So existing CMMG customers with your 9mm Colt lowers won't be able to use your new RDB uppers?

Will you be offering a Colt mag RDB gun?

May be due to difficulty trying to feed a pistol cartridge from a dual feed mag into an AR15 style extension.
Most DI pistol calibers use single-feed mags like Glock or greasegun.

Correct, the two systems are incompatible.

Eventually we will circle around to the Colt pattern lower, but current focus is getting the other 5 or 6 calibers developed and released.

Well, that is a huge letdown.  I have no interest unless it runs on a RR.

That's sort of neat, but it looks a bit tedious to use at the range.  Each block (F&R) needs to be set-screwed in place (and tweaked for variances).  Also, the mags need to be modified.  It would be fun if it all worked together, but I don't feel like being a beta-tester .

My blowback 9mm works perfectly with my RR right now.  I don't need to add any frustration.

Not a bad idea.....

Has anyone tried one full auto yet...I met my SOT at the range today as my RDIAS is still in transfer from him to me.  We tried to drop it in but it was a no go.  There is about 1/16" of an inch too much material on the back of the "SP1 hump" on the lower for my sear to drop in.  It's going to need a little bit of material removed so that was a bust...
Oh, nevermind...  Maybe it will work, maybe not....who knows?

No 10mm, 45 Super or 460 Rowland. Just another 9mm?
I guess I'll get that 460 Rowland built by Ron unless you tell me the 45ACP can handle 45 Super with the heaviest weight and stronger spring.

Come now....you can't honestly say you're surprised 9mm was the second caliber rolled out.

All three of the rounds you mention probably account for 1% of all the AR PCCs currently out and about. They are simply not as ubiquitous as 9mm and .45ACP, and probably a couple other calibers like .40 and .357SIG, with folks who already have a Glock and mags and actually shoot it.

@CMMG

I understand that there are no guarantees on non-CMMG equipment, but is there any reason this would technically not work on New Frontier Armory uppers and glock lower sets if your build kit (barrel/bolt/carrier) is utilized?

You said earlier that the CMMG components would work in a New Frontier lower on page 3, but with the talk of proprietary components above, I wanted to make sure my New Frontier receiver set would be good to go.

From page 3 (Joe Bob’s Trojan is made by New Frontier):

Will any upper that accepts a mil spec bcg work with your Guard BCG and barrel? I want a non reciprocating side charging billet upper mated to your 460R or 45 Super kit. ;)
Will it work with this one?

I see no reason why that uppers wont work. We do open the ejection port for the .45. We will make that info available.

Also, there are 33 items listed under 9mm on your website as of Tuesday evening, and only 9 items listed under 45… where are the build kits for 45?  Is it something you need to call in and order, dealer only, or?

Getting the blue balls waiting on the 45 kits, thought it was part of the big release

Thanks!

and for those of us that already have built glock fed 9mm pcc I see you sell the bcg and barrel combos. Also noted  in the description "Other manufacturers lowers may work, but we cannot guarantee function or reliability." Are there any known brand lowers that are compatible or incompatible yet?
