The action is very smooth, I think I have the right lockup/tension when a round is in the chamber and it feeds flawlessly. I broke it down and lubed, cleaned, checked headspace with the feeler gauge then reassembled it. Same results. 8-10 rounds and fte. Ironically, seemed like it is happening more consistently with Gemtech .22 (my thought was maybe it's the ton of wax GT puts on their .22) I then thought it may be case rim diameters and there def many different size rims on various .22 So I contacted Volquartsen and so far Scott V. has been on it, returning my emails promptly with ideas, sent out an updated cam and will be sending ejectors to replace. I really appreciate their service thus far. Today at some point, I will remove the bolt and visually inspect the space between the ejectors and the case rim with a seated case. Anyway this is where I am, ready to put the optic on and shoot. |

Nice looking blasters. It's amazing how many more rimfire options are out compared to when I starting shooting AR's. Pretty much had to chose between the m261 military .22 kit or the Ceiner. Love all the .22s in this thread. Kind of makes me want to build another.

Just picked this M&P 15-22 today. Wanted one for a long time and like the FDE version. LGS is closing, so I wanted to buy from them before they are gone. Really good people.

After getting 3 of the braces...I now see they make an aluminum version as well as the polymer one. Nothing wrong with the polymer ones, but may have gotten at least 1 aluminum one to see if it was worth the extra $$$. |

I like this set up but it seems like it would make attaching a sling problematic. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Originally Posted By WhiskyTango:

If you put the brace up any higher you cannot work the charging handle:( Another option would be installing a Blue Force Gear burnsed QD socket on the brace strap. They make a machined aluminum and a molded plastic with aluminum insert version. I have them on a few braces and they work fine. You just have to get the strap really tight and trap it between the strap buckle and the brace somehow. Attached File |

I like that QD pocket option. I may need to try 1 or more.
Thanks for the heads up. |

I have two:
My favorite is a purpose-built upper for use with my M261. 1:12 barrel cut to 4.5", and an 8" can buried under the handguard. Quiet as a nail-gun and runs like a sewing machine. Attached File Hard to bitch about accuracy at ~25yrds. Attached File And one of TacSol complete uppers that Midway was blowing out last year at stupid-cheap prices. A more conventional .22LR AR, if that's really a thing. Attached File |
