The duty rifle at work is a semi-only M16A2 made semi-only by removal of the auto-sear and semi-only safety/selector.  If I have a Rock River 9mm upper with a ramped bolt carrier, will anything else be required to run the upper on the A2 lower?

Thanks in advance......

A ramped bolt will solve most of your problems... try it and see!

Thats fine

If I have a Rock River 9mm upper with a ramped bolt carrier (no carrier in 9mm) , will anything else be required to run the upper on the A2 lower?
You will need a magwell block  to fill the exisiting 556 magwell so a 9mm mag will be held in correct position.  There is a number af magblocks available, all basically do the same job, some offer the ability to hold bolt open at last round, some don't, you need to decide what best for you, what type mags you desire to use also.

I run plain Uzi mags, as I have Uzi, and use a block that accepts plain Uzi mags.  Others prefer to use  Colt mags, so mag change remain same as 556, and bolt hold open if you choose your block mag combo correct.

Thanks in advance......
