Just curious as to what range I should zero my suppressed .45 AR at?   I'm thinking about 35-40 yards as a happy medium.   It wears an Eotech presently.   Should I run it out to 50 yards?   The barrel length in the suppressor is probably 8-10 inches.

I tried running a 230gr FMJ (I used BC=.183 from Hornady's site) at 950fps (just guessing for velocity) and zeroed at 50yds that showed a pretty flat trajectory out to 60yds or so but dropped off fast.  IIRC it was about .4" high at mid range and only about .7" low at 60 but getting close to 2" low at 70.  If you can handle mid-range more like 1.5-2" then you can zero farther out.  JHP would probably drop off a bit faster though, so I'd say 50 is a good choice.
