Perfect.  Thanks for the response.  Someone mentioned before having an issue with the SLR handguard needing the gas tube to seat properly to the upper.  Did you have any issues?

Nope. I just lined it up with a mount clamped across the upper and rail, and then tightened it up.

I had to change our buffers, springs and other adjustments until I ended up with Vltor A5 buffer. It is suppressed, so maybe that contributed to it. It runs like a sewing machine now.

Nice! We have very similar builds. I've been debating switching to the KAK extended flash can purely for aesthetics.

How does it run?

Thanks, I see we both went the same route on the barrel, bolt and buffer combo. I haven’t shot it yet, just finished it yesterday.

I’ll be going to the range this weekend. Planning on shooting some regular 115gr FMJ and some Hornady TAP 124gr I have lying around to see how it handles HP rounds. I’ll make sure to post results.

I swapped out my keymod rail for a tube I picked up at the gun show, and pulled off my HK-style diopter sights. I'll likely swap out the sights for a red dot.

It weighs 6 lbs 1oz, with an empty 17rd mag, according to the scale.

Just got this guy...  It was a impulse buy so I didn't realize the trigger wasn't MILSPEC(note the little dingaling on the Hammer).  Anyone have any input on if an ALG ACT will work on this?  Also if anyone had any good experiences with Aftermarket Triggers and would like to share I'd appreciate it.

The Colt 9mm's have come with M16 hammers for a while now, it's factory, it's more milspec than anything else. That said, yeah the ALG will fit, but it'd be a step sideways, no real advantage.

Took it out for the first time today ran like a raped ape. Ets magazine no feed issues whatsoever. KAK 8" barrel which seems to have a generous feed cone.

@Vinnland

Barrel is a Ballistic Advantage 5.5" and handguard is Midwest Industries MCTAR-23 Freefloat quadrail, 4" long. I don't believe the quadrail is in production anymore and is hard to find.

The handstop is by Gear Sector and the grip panel is a cut down and modified Tango Down panel. Where I have it mounted there is no rail space to interface with. So I dremeled the rail tab to work with a bolt hole. Works really well.

The ALG ACT will have a cleaner break with less grit.  I use one. RRA upper, barrel shortened and threaded by Adco.  Spikes ST-T2.  All the rest is pretty standard.

Had a SP1 upper laying around with the Mepro M21 keeping it company so went and added:

Cmmg MK9 lower for Colt mags
Mil spec trigger parts that were gathering dust
SBA3 brace
JP gen2 captured buffer
7.5" Odin barrel and bolt carrier
Young Manuf 7" handguard
Clone of Flaming Pig flash suppressor
my last A1 pistol grip

10 yds, 20 rds each group, offhand but shouldered.

Nice, thanks for all the input.  I'm thinking ALG because I have 1 laying around, the Factory trigger is what you'd expect.  Man I'd love to do something like that, no such thing as SBR in Hawaii.

Thinking of switching it up some.  Different optic or maybe just run buis 5.5" barrel instead if a 7.5" plan on a suppressor. Different handguard also.

Looks good! But that A2 style grip can’t be comfortable with such a short LOP. If I may suggest... look into the Magpul K2+. I use it on all my SBR’s, especially the few I own with PDW style stocks.

Yea got a Tyrant skeletonized grip ordered should be here Tuesday, the A2 was the only grip in the parts bucket.

I am going to have it Cerakoteked too but don't know what color yet. The Mega stuff is a deep dark black coating compared to the charcoal of most everything else, I ordered several Mega stuff before Zev took over and am using them on builds finally.

That doesn’t look like a 9mm magazine.

ETA:  I just googled Endomag.  Got it.

As far as pistol grips, I am a huge fan of the Hogue grip with no finger grooves...
