Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - less obtrusive Socom-type block??

Is there a Socom-style block that doesn't stick down so far?  I don't like the idea of having that massive block and lever like their system has.

Or, has anyone personally made a similar block?  I'd like to make (or find) a mag block that is flush with the bottom of the mag well and has a lever less likely to snag or get accidentally released.

Thanks for any info!
