I am going to convert a Colt pre ban upper to a post ban, and would like to know what kind of muzzle brakes are out there. I like the look of the A2 birdcage. Does anyone offer a look alike for the 9mm?

Kurt from KKF (check the industry section) also makes A2 style brakes in 9mm configuration.

Smith Enterprises makes a MB compatible with the colt 9mm threads.

Since I'm hunting for a (god and cash willing) RRA 9mm with a clean postban barrel.. How much do these brakes effect sound? The brake on my 180B make a 5.56mm sound like a .30-06. What about fake flash suppressors? I assume Kurt could do one easy enough. Are they fairly easy to get off, say, if a certain ban went away. 'cause the day if/when it does, I want an A2 on there. Thanks.
