Replacing rings and need feedback
On if the macfarland 1 piece is the way to go
Or stick to the standard 3 rings?

I'd get a 3 piece set of Colt gas rings and a spare set; you'd still have less in it than a 1 piece ring. I say if it ain't broke...

I've read of way too many issues with the 1 piece rings.

I'd stick with the original 3 separate design.  They're cheap and work.

Waste of money don't need it.  Buy spare rings, cotter pin, firing pin, etc. Most keep a spare bolt as well.

I've never had a problem with standard 3 piece rings.  The 1 piece rings strike me as a solution in search of a problem.
