Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Markings on Colt Scope ?

I found an original handle-mount scope that is marked Colt on top and is a 4 X 20.  On the bottom it says "Made in Japan" and under that is " AO-06   11".  Does anyone know what those numbers mean?  Maybe for 'Adjustable Objective' and then a date?  There is one for sale on ebay and it is marked "AO-05   08'.  Just curious.
