Just spray as is, Im pretty sure they won't give out the proprietary wrenches.

I called and they said it was not designed for the end user to be able to remove.

Hopefully I can have it cerakoted as is.

That being said if your barrel is burned you have to ship your upper to PWS to rebarrel?
Any idea how much they would charge to do it?

PWS told me to send it to their local Cerakote shop because they have the tool to remove the barrel.

Ok 4 weeks later the shop calls to tell me that they can’t get their special tool on there without removing the muzzle device... which is pinned and welded.

They are just going to plug the barrel and Cerakote the upper.

Thanks PWS for the Uber proprietary barrel attachment crap that you designed.

There are a few that fall into the proprietary design category.

Ya really can’t put this on PWS

How did cerakote come out?
i'll probably would have to do the same and have it sprayed with barrel on

It should be here Monday.

I still think it is kinda odd that it is required to remove the muzzle device to get a tool on it to remove the barrel nut or whatever is holding it on.

The muzzle device needs to be removed so the gas block can be removed, so the barrel nut can be removed.

You should be able to un screw the barrel nut and leave it on the barrel. But the barrel could be taken out of the upper. No need to take all the stuff off. Right?

I believe the tube that the piston rod rides in is connected to the gas block and the block forward of the nut
