They were not, as the previous posts said.
But several years ago a small shop made removable carry handles with the A1 sights. I haven't seen any in years so l doubt new are still available. So if you do run into an A1 flattop with a removable carry handle w/A1 sights its not a factory build. |

Colt Canada/Diemaco also makes a detachable carry handle with A1 sights, though they did not necessarily try too hard to match the A1's form factor in the carry handle's design.
Cool unit, nonetheless. Had a chance to buy one for fairly cheap a couple years back, but am not planning to do an iron-sighted C8 replica, and didn't want to feel pressured by a random part I wasn't even seeking into starting another build.

If you ever find another one, I would be very interested. We had them here in Holland but they are not to be found for some reason. Realy like the fieldsight over the A2. Stef. |

Superior arms also makes one, it is a little more sturdy than the CNC handle, but uses set screws.

I imagine the back up sight would be kinda fun the first trip out then annoying after that.
