I was watching from the beginning and was thinking $1,700, because of how clean they were. That's nuts! Prices like that are going to make me worried about using my sets on shooting rifles...

4k for a furniture set that probably cost $20 dollars to manufacture back in the day.

Over $600 for a BCG, too.
The numbers sure add up!

That set of furniture is in awesome condition to say the least.

So, how much would a 601 cost to build at the present time

Damn!

I'm gonna start buying registered full auto 601s and part them out.

I was thinking someone with a FA601 that was not correct bought them to make it correct.

Don't have the bolt but do have the carrier. Wonder what it would be worth.
Of course I would have to replace it with a modern slick side.........

Wow!  I had a set almost that nice in about 1989-1990.  A friend borrowed it (and the original duck bill I had) and never returned or replaced it.  Holy Cow.  That's why I ordered a green Brownell's set, and my last set was recent stuff painted with Testor's FS OG green!
