Im looking to pick up a 10.5 inch upper and I was hoping to find one that is reliable and doesn't break the bank.

I was deciding between...
Aero Precision
PSA
Hardened Arms
Bear Creek

How would you rate these or any other recommendations in the under 500 category It doesn't need to come with a BCG I already have one?

I picked up a Ghost Firearms 10.5 upper from primary arms a month ago.  I am very pleased with the build quality and fit and finish....I went over every inch of it.  I have about 300 rounds thru it, 100% function with good strong brass ejection.  It was only 230 bucks (no bcg/charging handle).  The only thing I did was dimple the barrel and loctite the set screws on the gas block.

Cant go wrong with Aero Precision.  Out of the group you listed they would be my choice.  I have built well over 200 rifles on their uppers and lower and their barrels are an outstanding value.  PSA would be my second choice.  Hope this helps.

Can’t go wrong with Aero or PSA, both have served me well. I would also look into Andro Corp if you are open to suggestions.

Check out Sota Arms for an inexpensive upper. I paid $250 for a 300BO 10 inch upper that comes with BCG and charging handle. Always nice to have a spare BCG.

Same as anything else. TRS-25 or PA 50k Micro if looking for cheap.  Vortex is good too.

PRO or MRO if you're looking to spend some dough.

I've had that upper and just put a TRS on it.

LMT
Proper gas port and chamber.  Slightly heavier profile and very accurate.
Have had several and shot mine today.

I have a 10.5" Palmetto, the Chrome Lined one, A2 profile, not hammer forged but just basic Chrome. Using a Palmetto Milspec bolt. I've had the gun for a little over two years now. I've shot about 2800 rounds through it. Not as many as some folks obviously but I've never had a problem, it just runs, from day one. I think I paid $189 for it plus bolt carrier and charging handle. Pretty damn hard to beat for the money.

I have the psa 10.5 and it runs 100%, I also had the 8.5” before I got the 10.5” and that ran fine as well.
