The barrel is 10.5", the ff tube is 12", (which is actually 12.5"). I have a Levang Linear Comp in the mail, once it arrives, I'll see  how much I need to "trim" off the end of the tube.

My thinking is that after I install this, I'll only need to trim the tube back about a 1/4 inch or so from the end of the compensator (1/2 to 3/4 off the tube itself). What do you think?

I do like the look of the long tube. I was going to use a Armalite fiberglass ff tube with my custom rope work around it, but since I'm going to have to cut it down, I switched to the aluminium ff tube.  Still a work in progress though, so who knows where it will go. I might even put a jagged edge on the ff tube if I can cut  it to look nice...

No problem. I had a hard time finding any info about this thing. I think Brownells gives a measuremet, but it would have been nice to see a side by side comparrison.  I'll post a few pics for you when it arrives. Of course pics of it installed will follow soon after.

This and a couple more are posted here in the AR Discussion forum, but I figured I'd post one here too since this is where it all started. I owe a really big thanks to 1IV for the inspiration and answering all my questions.

And as promised, here are pics of the levang comp with a A2 FH (also posted here in the AR Discussion Forum)

Now at's one Orky lookin' Blasta, more Dakka! All ye needs are some Orky 'glyph markings and some teef hangin' off it. What the Hell are you talking about wittzo?!? I'll show you....

'Ere's a coupla boyz wiff a drum, a Shrike upper, and a real cool ring side sling adapter and a toofy glyph.

'Ere's a coupla boyz wif paracord wrapped 'round their free float tubes and a boy wif a drum (a drumma boy?).

But really it would be cool to dress mine up like one of these so it wouldn't look so humdrum. It's just a plain ole Model 1 7" upper with a Model 1 pistol buffer..Nowhere as cool looking as yours.
