It is indeed. I can't remember the exact model. I think it's a 12". Thanks https://i.imgur.com/hXPtv6r.jpg I think the PRI may be slimmer than the Lancer, from the looks of it. At least where you'd hold it. |

Update:
I went back out and got better dope, and the velocity I got made a lot more sense. I used it from 100-700 yards and was flawless. My only miss was the first round at 700 yards. I am running 2558fps with 123gr Hornady Black out of a 18" JP supermatch cyro + suppressor. I closed the gas block completely off, fired one round, slowly manually unchambered the round and it did not have the dent or marking. I opened the gas block up 1/2 a turn, not enough to eject the casing but enough to move the BCG back a little bit and the casing had the dent and markings. I no longer think that this is happening from hitting the brass deflector, but I now think it is when the brass is being pulled from the chamber. The markings almost look like the brass is being forced down onto the feed ramps which is causing the denting and marks. Anyway I am running the SA gas block at 4.75-5 turns CCW in bleed off mode past full open |

I had the factory spring that came with the BA bolt, changed it out to a BCM and I think I put the little rubber insert but no o-ring. My Hornady brass stopped getting that ding but it still does it to Federal brass but not as bad. |

Wanted to try something a little different, so I put together a piston setup for a range toy: https://c1.staticflickr.com/5/4636/39179334672_d3e470365d_b.jpg After how it shot today, it might be working its way into the hunting lineup. View Quote |

This is my fourth 6.5 Grendel AR-15, BRD is in full effect! I used Anderson upper and lowers I bought from PSA on sale. Most other parts I had or bought during the holiday sales. I lapped the upper receiver and installed an 18” Faxon group buy barrel (midlength 1:8 twist). I bed the barrel and YHM gas block with blue Permatex thread locker. I used a PSA Nitride Bolt Carrier and a group buy 6.5 Grendel bolt. I used a 12” ALG EMR V0 hand guard I got on sale. I don’t like muzzle breaks and used a 5/8x24 A-2 Flash Hider.
I used a CMMG lower parts kit and a RRA NM trigger group I already owned. I bought a DS Arms six position milspec stock and A-2 grip. I put an old Japanese made Tasco 2.5-10x44 scope in a RRA mount on till I buy a scope and mount for this build. I’m waiting on the thread locker to cure but plan on trying to sight in the scope tomorrow, weather permitting. 3399E93C-3E09-4BF1-844E-C6F2490B7E0F by [url=https://www.flickr.com/photos/150966264@N06/] |

Looks good phylo!
My handguard made it in Attached File Attached File I've decided I'm going to stick the MD-RB-AD Red Dot on it to save some weight. Now to build something for the P4Xi |

Sorry for the messy bench and the crappy cell phone pic but... I couldn't wait to mock up my 20" BA 6.5G build. I'm hoping for good things out of this BA barrel. I haven't seen as many reviews of them since they came out as I thought I would, and that concerns me slightly. I have one of their 16" 5.56 barrels though, and it's a shooter. I hope this one is at least as good. https://i.imgur.com/fAtzMgy.jpg BA 20" DMR profile barrel Seekins adj gas block BA upper Toolcraft bolt Grendel "monster" bolt from the Grendel forum Odin Works O2 Lite 15.5" handguard Gamma VG6 brake Waiting on a Radian LT charging handle ADM Recon mount 6-24X Viper PST Aero lower Geissele High Speed NM Trigger MOE grip and PRS stock View Quote Considering that this is a picture thread, I got some new glass for mine and a new picture is in order. It’s a Vortex PST II 5-25x50 and I couldn’t be happier with it. |

If it's any consolation, I have the same barrel on my 6.5G build and it shoots very well. View Quote I'm pretty confident that I'll be happy with this barrel, I was just kinda surprised after all the buzz that was generated that we didn't have more range reports coming in on them. And that's a sweet piece you got there too. Very nice. What hand guard is that? |

Setup is complete. Haven’t weighed it yet, but it’s pretty dang light without the bipod. Hopefully I’ll be able to sight it in and chrono some loads this week. Some cool camo jobs here.
And good to see more LaRue APEG pistol grips. I love 'em and am replacing all my grips with them. |

Here's the one I assembled today. Blackhole Weaponry 20" barrel was used, bought from a friend. I hope to get some trigger time soon. |
