Has anyone tried a riflespeed gas block on their m5 build? Thats probably what im going to try on a 16in mid length 308 suppressed m5 build. Will be months before I finish the build though.

Put it together tonight, I am really impressed with the quality of these. I used the spikes ar10 spec tube kit with the ST3 buffer. I wanted a mil spec trigger for reliability but something cleaner so I went with the ALG ACT and purple spring. Its way better than other Aero triggers.

The ribs in your pic look just like my Duramags but your pic gets a little fuzzy when zooming in. I knew the baseplates and followers were different. Edit…. I use it for both 308 and 6.5CM, it's HP. I like them, as a lower-cost alternative to genuine Aero nitride BCGs. I like that it's also beveled at the rear of the fat part, like the Aero. helps to alleviate impact to the buffer tube upright if unintentionally overgassed. |

Here's what I have for my build so far. I just need to order my muzzle device and the trigger. I just got the lower, upper and rail back from getting Cerakoted. I'll snap a pic in a bit and upload it. I also ordered a Midwest Industries AR308 action rod. I have one for AR15s and they make assembly so much easier. No idea when I'll find time to start this build. I might just tinker with it here and there when I have time.
