That’s what I have on mine. It fits and moves the light away from the front sight. Without it my light was resting right up against the front sight.

Perfect! Thank you. Is there enough room to run the light on the opposite side (ejection side) of the rail?

I bought an 11.3 ba hanson .625 barrel. I was looking ath the 10.5 mlok cmr for a perfect fit. Has anyone tried the ballistic advantage .625 gas block that comes with the barrels? Worried about clearence.
Also are there 2 differrent versions of the mlok rail. Some of google images show no qd sockets and other/ show them having them. |

Do the new MLOK CMR rails use the same barrel nut as the original CMR Rails (Gen 1)? Have a Gen1 14" and am thinking about moving to the newer version mlok 13". I can always change the barrel nut but if the new rail uses the same as the originals it would be nice :).
EDIT - according to this review, although they updated the barrel nut to appeal to the masses, the new rail will work fine on original barrel nut... http://www.ar15news.com/2016/01/21/centurion-arms-adds-keymod-m-lok-cmr-lineup/ The overall profile of the new CMR KeyMod and M-LOK rails is very similar to the original CMR and still features anti-rotation tabs. The barrel nut is also very similar, in fact the new rail will mount to an older CMR barrel nut, but Centurion Arms actually modified the new barrel nut to be able to tighten them using a standard AR-15 castle nut wrench. So I got my 10.5 cmr mlok and the the ba hanson .625 gas block easily clears the rail. I measured before ordering and their .625 gas block is smaller than the ca .750 gas block. Here are some pics.

How much is a gen 1 CMR-12 worth?

The real draw of a Gen 1 is the 14", which is only 13.65" so you can run most cans with a 14.5" barrel. The Gen 2 14"s are 14.25" and thus too long and require a 14.7" barrel... But, with the 14" Gen 1 you also have the mis-aligned vent holes/rail panel holes too so you have to decide if that would bother you... If the Gen 2 and later mods were back to Gen 1 length I would have upgraded already, but I'm not swapping barrels just to run a Gen 2 lol. I may swap back to a Larue 13.2" anyway... Gen 1 14" (13.65") with Surefire Socom RC - older pic but shows the gap of a Gen 1/14.5" https://i.imgur.com/BT5OfUU.jpg https://i.imgur.com/U8fHiPoh.jpg View Quote |

Fyi a 11.3 ba hanson barrel is too short for a 10.5 cmr with a direct thread supressor. The cmr actually measures 10.6 long. Now I need to sell it.

I'm thinking of getting the CMR 308/7.62 12" rail for a build I'm going to do. There were some posts earlier that were talking about the handguard moving foward on the barrel nut and that there was a gen 2 barrel nut that prevented this from happening. Does anyone have pictures of the two different 308 CMR barrel nuts for reference? I may pin and weld the flash hider on this build and need to make sure it has the correct, updated barrel nut before doing so.

Just scored a 13.5 mlok CMR for $203 on optics planet. It was the second to last one available. Other sizes had only one or two left in stock also.
A couple questions; I have a couple Geissele GBs and a YHM GB, does anyone know if they will work with the mlok CMR? Will a Geissele barrel nut tool work with a CMR barrel nut? Thanks |

So i have a 18" faxon gunner with rifle length gas..i'm running a superlative .625 adj gas block. I want to get a 13" mlok CMR rail but i'm not sure if my block will clear the ID of the rail..i think alittle bit of gas block poke-out looks cool, goes along with my SPRish build.
Rainier arms or the centurion website to order? I can't get over the cmr's look with the little covers.. |

Has no one tried to use a YHM low pro GB on a CMR?

Going to move my 13" Geissele MK14 over to a new 13.7" build and I think I'll replace it with one of the new Gen 1 CMR's. It's a 16" barrel so I'm thinking the 14" CMR is the right choice. Anyone running the same combo?
