Finished a build thanks to Rotorwash109!
Has anyone ever experienced a gas tube alignment issue with the MRP set-up? We installed this brand new barrel on a new previously built upper and the BCG hit the gas tube and didn’t mate up. I had to apply pressure to the tube forcing it up to allow the gas key to slide in. It still has some resistance after tweaking it. Attached File |

There’s probably still resistance cuz the gas tube is bent now. Check it out. I had a gen 1 chassis I had to send in because of it. |

I had an issue with one of mine. I think the tube must have got bent in the back of the safe or something. Tried to tweak it but didn't just bought a new tube.

The reason for mine was because there was play in the connection between the chassis and barrel. They replaced the bushing. Probably not the case with yours. Maybe the tube was bent slightly to begin with |

Probably not the case with yours. Maybe the tube was bent slightly to begin with We have tried two different barrels both with the same result. MNM567 has a brand new barrel in it now that had to take a slight bend and there is still a bit of friction from the gas key to the gas tube. The only thing that could be out of alignment is the floating retainer for the gas tube in the upper. |

We are just a minor threat.

It's gorgeous! I'm jealous I didn't get in on the factory green rifles. Thank you! It is not a full factory canteen green 308. I only bought the upper by itself and was able to add the 5R 16" barrel, BCG, and a re-anodized MARS-H lower after the fact. I'm a sucker for fully ambidextrous guns/lowers so this was icing on the cake when I found that lower last year in the EE |

How close is it to matching? It looks spot on in the photograph. Who did you find to do the anodizing? Edit: Never mind. You already answered below. Congrats on the find. |

To anyone who has had an mrp barrel recontoured, how was the accuracy afterwards?

Since I have little to lose with this tube, I manipulated the tube a bit, and it lines up now will little to no friction. I'm going to pull the barrel soon to see if there is a noticeable bend in the tube where I manipulated it. Rifle shoots very accurately!! |

What would be a good 16", .22 cal barrel and bolt kit, to purchase and send to DG Wilson to have converted for the MRP?

With that unimportant statement, I wouldn't have a problem trusting CMMG's 22 barrels for a conversion as I used one of their 9mm barrels for a build and have had very good luck with it's accuracy. Good luck, should be fun! |

I’ve got a CQB Upper in the EE right now if anyone is interested.
ETA, just kidding. I’m keeping it |

Just sent off a track 2.0 barrel for @unclemoak to convert. Oh boiiii

Sale is finally up.
Nothing spectacular..... actually glad. Too many other projects, and accessories to buy to complete builds. Hipefully the July 4th sale will be better. |

How long is the handguard portion of the MRP rifle length upper? 13.5"?
