Does anyone know  if you can remove some of the rails on the YHM 4 rail handguards?, and if so, what tools are required?

 I'm not one to hang a bunch of stuff on my rifles, so side rails on a HG don' t appeal to me, but a full length rail on the top and maybe bottom of the handguards could be useful;

It's probably a better idea to buy rail covers.  If you do remove the rails, they are held on with allen head screws and what looks like red locktite (the screws are threaded into the handguard).

Some you can remove some you can not.  The 4 rail FF you can not. The 4 rail 2 piece you can not.
the "Customizable Tube Forearm System" do not come with rails but are tapped for them. So you just buy the rails you want in the size you want. The come in 3" , 7", 9.25", 12"  so you can do what ever you want. hope it helps
