Magpull M93B now or wait for replacement?

Should I buy the M93B nopw or wait for the new model that is replacing it to come out? I like the looks of the M93 I do not like the looks of the other soon to be released Magpul stock. Having no clue what the M93s replacement will look like makes it hard to decide. If I like the look of the new stock better I will be pissed if I buy the M93 but if I wait I will be stuck buying a used m93 when they are discontinued. What a dilema!

I think you pretty much answered your own question - you don't like the look of the soon to be available stock, and we have no idea when the M93 replacement will be available -- so get the M93B.

Mine works just fine, and is so well built that I don't see any prospect of needing replacement parts. If it does break/wear out I suspect it will be years from now, and I would probably replace it at that point anyway.

You can't lose. You'll be able to trade in your 93 for the replacement.

ETA: The pic shown is the CTR, the UBR – Universal Battle Rifle Stock (no pics yet) is designed to be the M93 replacement.

I don't have much desire for the new stock.

Reason being, the M93 cheek weld is better in that it is more comparable to that of an A1/A2 stock.

The height of it's surface is the same as that of a fixed A1/A2 stock, this is a major plus in my book especially with my rifles that wear optics. For this reason, I hate ordinary collapsable stocks where the buffer tube is a fair bit lower than the A1/A2 cheek weld.

I'm hoping that M93 type stocks will drop in price as people start trying to swap over to the new stock. I've got one M93A on my 14.5 in rifle and another on my AR10. I'd like to have 1 or 2 as spares if they are getting discontinued.

Guys..... the CTR is NOT the 93 replacement. It is a new and different stock design.

The replacement for the 93 is the UBR. It isn't out yet, but should be by SHOT.

There is a trade in program for those that own the 93.

+1 to that. While I think the CTR is a great stock, I'm not going to get one for any of my current firearms. The M93B fulfills my needs better than it will. However, we all know basically nothing about the UBR so how it will directly compare to the M93B is unknown at this time. I may replace the M93B that's on my shotgun with a UBR but only time will tell.

Buy a lightly used M93A/B right now. When the new UBR is shown in Febuary, you can decide whether or not you like the new stock. If you dont, then you still have your beloved M93. If you do, and decide to sell your M93, you will not be out of much money (as apposed to buying it new). Or, you can keep your used stock and have it as an extra stock for later.

Right now the 93B and the Sopmod are the top two quality. When the next Magpull stock comes out and if the quality is the same, the 93B will still be in the top three

I just bought one last week. Haven't received it yet. But I was in the same situation, I just said screw it. I'm not goin to wait. From what I've read its suppose very good stock. And if you dont like you can return it. And plus I like the way it looks aswell.

Get the M93B, then, build a new gun to use the new stock with when it comes out... (get both!)

Hey, I love M93Bs as much as the next guy (I've got them on every longarm that will take them) but I'm finding it hard to believe that Richard is going to make a stock that I will like any more than the M93B.

Then again, I hope I'm wrong.
