great review, Fister.

curious as to the weight of it. I realize it isn't much - or much different than the stock M4 would be- but any weight in this area impacts the balance of the gun

I suspect it to be lighter than an LMT SOPMOD, but heavier than the M4- which if correct would be a good thing.

From the pix, you may be overplaying the caution on the polymer hinge-plate assembly. This is not that durable on the stock issue, and maybe designed as such as a sacrificial part to protect the buffer tube

I'll definitely give it consideration for my next aftermarket stock buy
