Here is the early concept drawing. Production is almost complete on the first run. These are an .840 profile with a .750 diameter for mounting a secondary gas block at CAR or Mid length position. We can also run a full length gas system for those that don't want thesecondary block.
In addition, this barrel can be configured as a 16" CAR or 16"Mid-length.  Not to scale  These are getting ready to head off to chrome and MP test. Here is a sample of several ways the same barrel can be configured. Standard CAR Mid-length Full length gas dissipator Medium length gas dissipator CAR length gas dissipator Also note recessed target crown.

Not sure on weight. The barrel by itself with secondary gas block will be $299.95. Gas tube and pin $11.95 We will be using it with our micro gas block as a secondary.  The upper with CAR or Mid gas will run $575.95 and the Full length gas $525.95 |

Forgive me if it is a simple question, but why have a secondary gas block? Won't a single one work fine?
I love the idea of a rifle length gas system on a 16" barrel though...this may be right up my alley, depending on the time frame of production. |

The rifle length gas Barrl with barrel nut, FSB and endcap will run $249.95. The complete upper $525.95 They are relieable with the FSB though I do prefer the two shorter gas systems because they allow for a greater range of ammo because of a more consistant and stable gas pressure. |

How does the 2nd gas block attach? Pins, clamp on, set screws?

The mini blocks are made to secure with two set screws but it is no problem to secure with a taper pin instead. |

Do you find that .223 rounds from Winchester (e.g. white box Q3131) and Black Hills (e.g. blue box 75gr) generate enough gas pressure to operate the rifle length gas system on a Dissy barrel reliably? My understanding is that .223 rounds create less pressure than 5.56 rounds. |

What's the barrel steel?
Also, do you have any pictures of a carbine/mid length system with the mid length port as the primary with the gas tube installed? Very cool stuff! What's not to love about a modular gas system.  Seriously, that's freaking sweet!

The steel is 4150. We can do a CAR gas system with a mid-length FSB. Is that what you are asking about? |
