Anyone know where you can get the best deals on Colt factory made replacement barrels?  I need a 20" "C MP 5.56 Nato 1/7" standard weight barrel in "pre ban" configuration for my Sporter II AR-15A2.

keep an eye on the equipment exchange. i just sent a money order for a new or near-new (i forget) 20" FNMI 1/7 5.56 chrome lined... sounds like an m16 barrel to me. for $125 - hard to beat. colt barrels there too. lots of take-offs in good condition in 20's since people seem to want to turn their colts into m4geries.

I just bought a new colt pre-ban barrel from numrich gun parts - 189.00 sounds spendy but the barrel is real high quailty.  cmp 5.56nato 1/7 chromelined 20 inch - normally the colt barrels go for over 400 bucks.

I looked there, and could only find HBAR barrels, that had no front sight assy.  By the time you get a front sight assy, get some smith to turn it down to A2, and put a flash suppressor on it, you're talking at least $75-100. I could not find someone selling just a front sight assy, so good luck.

I used the clamp type gas block and mounted a aimpoint on it since my eyes aren't up to the iron sights anymore
