So it has an IR LED then?  Also is the pressure switch momentary or does it work as a click on click off?

Excellent post and pics Chen.......as usual!

Nice profile on the unit.  Height from sight picture, etc. are perfect with no apparent field of view problems.

The VITAL appears to be much bigger than I expected.

That's pretty awful when you consider cost on the fucking thing is only $545.00.

One major component of the VITAL/ATTILA units is the integrated throw lever that is truly integrated into the piece.  The locking cross bar and V rail are all molded as one part of the unit.  It is VERY tough and I would think losing zero or breaking it would be next to impossible.

No 100mph tape or zip ties for these things.

Pardon My ignorance,
I notice NSNs for a series of VITALS.
Are these units replacing the PEQ/PAQ series?

It means our Govt. has assigned a National Stock Number to these units.

However, only having the NSN # doesn't represent the VITALS would replace the PAQ.

Duct tape, plumbing thread tape have NSN # also.

I just love the Knights MRE more and more.

The best way to utilize the MRE is to put the PAQ5 (CVL) in front of the front sight, and the PEQ2 on the side.

Replacement is a possibility and/or at least in complement of and they are definatley being used. Many of NVEC's other products are already being used as well.

I know that they are National Stock Numbers.

But having been assigned NSNS, I was curious as to the capacity that these would enter service in. What units would likely be issued or replaced with the VITALs since everybody who has a weapon  is basically issued and trained with PEQ/PAQ series?
