Yes ; I put a CavArms A1 butt on my Armalite
and used the Armalite Butt plate.

Yes You can use the A2 buttplate on the A1 stock.  This is how I prefer my A1 stock to be setup.  Its the same sling loop - just reuse the screws that come with the A1 stock.
