Who makes the uppers for Model 1 sales? Do they do this themselves? How would a RRA lower go with a model 1 upper?

Thanks

FN makes the complete upper receiver (including bolt carrer, bolt, & charge handle) and handle guards. E.R SHAW makes the barrel assemblies. Model 1 assembles the uppers but they don't make the parts. I think they work great with any mil-spec AR lower. I have built three Model 1 parts kits with RRA, PWA, and Eagle Arms lowers. Never had a problem with Model 1 uppers or parts.

I bought a Model 1 16" Lightweight CAR kit about amonth or two ago and couldn't be happier with it. The color match to my RRA lower is perfect and the quality is spot on too. I've only had the chance to shoot it once (about 30 rounds), but it had no problems at all. And I must say, $400 for the kit and $100 for the lower, and I couldn't be any happier! J
