Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - New Barrel. Which one?

Okay so here's the deal. I have an extra flat-top upper in the safe and I need to put a barrel on it. I already have a 20" HBAR A2 and a 16" M4 flat-top. I'm thinking of either a 20" Govt. profile barrel, or a M4 profile dissipator. This will be on a post ban lower.

This gun is going to be just for fun, no specific function. Just a general purpose, all around gun.

Thoughts?

sounds like you need a scoped varmint gun.
how about a heavy floated 16 or 24" barrel?

I'd buy both. Replace your Hbar with the gov. profile and use the dissy on the fun gun. Sell your hbar on the EE to make up for some of the extra cost. But that's just me.

I was told by ARFCOM to get both, so I did.

1) Bushmaster HBAR 16"
2) Bushmaster LightWeight 16"

Some days I feel like a nut, sometimes I don't.

So let me guess. A dissy with a KKF A3 brake on it? Then a rifle length SIR? That answers my next question - will a SIR fit a Dissy??
