Or do I have to buy a new bolt? I would be getting rid of my current assembly and getting a new one. No swapping. Just a new upper.

I think as long as your bolt- and your replacement upper- are not excessively worn down, it shouldn't be a problem. To be safe, check headspace just in case. [img]http://www.bushmaster.com/shopping/gunsmith/Images/headspace-small.gif[/img]
