I have a Colt 6400C. The stock is a little long for me. I'm looking a buying an ARFX-E stock with a 1" pad (total advertised length = 8.5").

Does anyone have experience with this stock? Is too short?

You're saying the fake tele is a little too long... Just a guess, but you'll find the ARFX-E too short. I'm 6' tall, 145# and cramped with the tac entry length stocks using a nose to charging handle position... the E was designed for tac types wearing body armor and assorted tac toys... I am considering the E for my hunting rig. Bundled up for a winter hunt should make it just about right! Take a look at the standard ARFX. I have the ARFX on all my rifles and love them... edited for spelling...

Do you know what the length on the standard AFRX stock is compared to the fake tele-stock and/or the A2 stock? An A1 stock length would work well for me.

IIRC.....The ARFX without the buttpad is standard A1 length,With the buttpad i belive it brings it out to A2 length.......Im sure someone will correct me if im wrong.........UNDERDOG [edited to show off pic]

The ARFX matches the A1 length, the rubber buttpad adds 1/2". A bonus, the ARFX is lighter than the A1 stock as well... Nice rifle Underdog!

Could one of you who currently has the ARFX stock tell me if there is a hole in the metal behind the pad. I'm going to get an E version and plan to attach an adjustable buttplate to it. It may take some machining though I don't know...

Just dug out the AR and removed the buttpad....Only two holes and there both threaded....bottom one is pad attachment and top one is the big main attachment/buttpad screw..so...looks like youll have to drill your own .....hope this helps.......UNDERDOG

Underdog, thtat's a very nice looking rifle. One question...that looks like the ARMS #38 on there...is that the standard, or extended one? I'm looking at one of those for my M4gery...but I'm wondering if the extended one will work, or will it hit the handguards?
