Assuming that individual .45 components appear on the market, does anybody know which parts are needed to do a conversion?
Beside the barrel, bolt, and magazine, of course.
Also, are any available now?

when dealing with a caliber conversion in an ar it seems as though the most cost effective route in the long run is to buy a complete upper instead of converting an existing upper and losing the versatility that multiple uppers can afford you.

Actually, the upper I am "converting" is my collection of un-assembled spare parts. Which are sitting around doing nothing right now.
Since I only need the parts that are specific to the .45, I asked as though it was a conversion.
I agree about having multiple uppers. I am leaving my two present ones intact.
