I've also never seen a flashlight attached to a what amounts to a medium range sniper or "designated marksman" rifle. The light will certainly illuminate the target, but its also giving your position away. The LAST thing a real sniper would want. A flashlight is really only used in CQB situations; SWAT takedown, MOUT combat, Afghanistan cave search, etc. A SPR is certainly not meant for those situations. Except in a supporting sniper role.

POLICE SNIPERS HAVE PURCHASED THESE LIGHTS FROM US, AS WELL, WITH AN EXTRA-LONG CABLE PRESSURE PAD SWITCH SOMETIMES. THIS THEY CAN USE AS A "BITE SWITCH", APPARENTLY, MAKING SWITCH MANIPULATION A MUCH SIMPLER PROCESS WHILE IN POSITION ON THE WEAPON FOR A LONG PERIOD OF TIME.

From an earlier post...

These belong to member Victor. When it was first posted it was described as the LE Version SPR.
Light makes more sense in that situation than a military SPR.
