I have a bushmaster with the y-comp pinned to the end. My brother has a pre-ban (the bastard!) and want to buy the barrel off of me, but wants the y-comp removed and a flash supressor installed. If the y-has been pinned, are the threads still good enough to thread the suppresor on, or have the pins destroyed them?

Opinions? 16" heavy or 20" standard for my general purpose AR?

The threads are fine and are standard (1/2 x 28mm?). Jst need to have the Y-comp removed by someone with experience removing them. Might consider KKF.

If the comp has no flats on it to fit a wrench, the barrel probably isn't threaded.
