Does the FF RAS provide a sturdier base (less flex)than the RAS for attaching vertical grip and light. Optics will be on receiver.

Who has the best price on the FF RAS?

Thanks.

YES Who has the best price on the FF RAS?Maybe $337 through impactguns but I could be wrong MSTN has a really good price at $347 The foregrip will not wobble back and forth as with STD RAS. And the unit will float the barrel and pretty much eliminate the barrel torqueing problems with RAS and FA fire causing 2 lugs to shear off the bolt after 10,000rds.

But remember you need a gun smith for it...

I think Wes has them cheaper than that, shoot him an email/IM. The big plus is he has them in stock (not many do).

Maybe all you need for the RASII is an Allen wrench (not sure), but for a FF RAS you're going to need a FF barrel wrench and a torque wrench ...and probably a vice block and vice as well.

Thanks for all the responses. Will the short FF RAS fit on all barrel types (M4, short HBAR, etc.)?

Seems like you can't distinguish RAS/RAS II from FF RAS. That is unless, of course you are an armorer. Then, more power to you.

Damn. didnt know he made AR barrels. I have seen his barrel on a remington action and I must say it was the best .308 shooter I have seen. Then again $3000 for that rifle from GA precision it better shoot that well.

"Seems like you can't distinguish RAS/RAS II from FF RAS. That is unless, of course you are an armorer. Then, more power to you." Yep I was thinking RAS II (but it isn't that hard to do the FF RAS either- if you can put on a barrel you can do it). Vise (most people allready have one) BM upper blocks $30 BM barrel wrench $30 Pin punch $8 Hammer (If you don't have a hammer you should deffinitely send it to someone more mechanically inclined than yourself) getting a guy to barrel yours: $50 (and you don't even get the tools).

Wes, do you prefer the Daniel Defense handguards over the Knights? They apprear to be very similar and the cost is about the same. Is there a difference in diameter, weight or strength? Easier to mount? Customer service?

Green0, No Sir, I won't take chances. I know I have no experiences with them. I don't want to fuck up my only XM15 [:D] Maybe I should work on it but I just don't think I can do it right first time without messing it up.
