Does anyone know of a distributor that supplies picatinny rail stock? I have a custom project in mind and a machinist can do some of the work, however it's simply not worth it to invest the time setting up his machines to mill out stock to the proper specifications. I'd much rather buy the stock, play around until I'm happy, then have the whole thing re-finished by a pro.

Suggestions? Buying a special purpose rail then chopping it seems wasteful and would probably be pricier.
