All,

I'm giving in to the inevitable and am ready to buy an AR-15. I'm looking to use it for punching paper/ringing steel from 100 yards to whatever (my .308 PSS will pick up where the .223 leaves off). Initially she'll be stock, but later on some fancy glass may find its way onto the upper.

With this in mind, I'm most interested in the Bushmaster XM15 E2S A3 with the 20" barrel. It seems to have the right combination of looks, accuracy, and adaptability that I'm looking for at present.

But where to buy? Is there a place in the Dallas Metroplex worth the extra cost of the sales tax, or should I look out of state, or just go to the source and order directly from Bushmaster?

Any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Try here. I am going to buy a RRA, but I did have this site bookmarked for a while now.

I few months ago I bought an RRA and its a great rifle. The trigger is perfect, you'll love it! And just in case you didn't know this...if you are part of a shooting team, I believe you will get a huge discount. I'm not sure what you need to send in, but you can ask when you call. I'm not on a team, but I bought the lower and upper separately...it was almost $300 cheaper doing it this way.
