So, I just ordered a Geissele URG-I Complete 14.5" P/W with a Comp M5.  This one might be my 2nd Go-To in the collection.  I can't believe I just got A Geissele Complete 14.5 P/W for $1530.00.  I couldn't build one for 1500.  Wicked good deal!

@vmpglenn Awesome rifle. I have a similar mini recce setup with a 10.5" barrel, BCM4 upper and KMR. It is extremely handy and just feels great ergonomically.

Didn't you start a similar thread to this one years ago with pics of some of your rifles against a white background...yea I remember. I've wanted to go back and look at that thread because your rifles were all awesome!

Do you still have those photos?

Yep, mini recce is a great configuration -- with 77gr ammo it'll definitely be useful past 300 yards.

I do have tons of photos on my hard drive stretching back a long, long time. I have dicked around with a lot of setups, which is why I've decided to leave this one alone and just shoot it.

I spec'd mine out to do a lot of things. Getting something off the shelf, I couldn't fine one that fit my needs. The closest i found was an FN offering.

I figured by asking I'd get suggestions for LMT, DD, Knights and maybe some others.

This makes me instead think as long as I use good quality parts there is no need to buy one of those other brands.

You won't go wrong with LMT, KAC or DD. I have factory LMTs. The MRPs and SR15s are probably the best off the shelf ARs you can get.

Most of us just have very specific wants/needs that are not offered from a factory so we have to build them.

^ If LMT offered an upper like this at an affordable price, I wouldn't have had to build it.

I agree, even my "factory" rifles have all been custom builds less my 7.62 PredatOBR.  Another aspect to building one might consider, if you are willing to wait and hunt hard for parts on EE you can find Factory New parts to build a complete rifle for considerably less than you can buy one in most cases.  The LMT I posted was a home build.  I bought the complete Lower from Fort Bradley Firearms on a Gunbroker auction and the Enhanced BCG from Brownells on a 10% discount day, everything else was purchased on EE and ever part was NIB.  I have $1,950 into it with Irons.  Point being, I got exactly what I wanted in a rifle for about $1000 less than buying Factory Complete, and that's not counting what you'd spend messing with it to suit your needs.

It's the old 03design group "ScopeFly."
It works great, best option I ever saw for ACOGs.

And vmpglen, it is an OPS 12th 556 can.
With the lightweight profile 1/7 CLE 16" Krieger it's a fantastic combination.

@BrWn001COW Do you have 2 M4-2000s? Or is that the same can in different stages of life? I have a mini 4 and an SDN-6. Thinking about getting the M4-2000 for the 10 inchers; can't bring myself to abuse the mini 4 that hard and it sounds MUCH better on 16" and longer barrels anyway.

PSA 10.5" pistol with KAK shockwave brace.  It currently wears a SIG Romeo 5 red dot, but I had the carry handle on it for the pic because I had just done some iron sight practice at the range.

Of course in the pic also is my FLC vest and mandatory safari hat.

Maybe I need to do a weapon cache thread.  IDK I only have two hands and one rucksack.  I'd rather carry ammo and spare parts, med kit, water etc..

Once finished and proven, will be my go to
Gonna be lighter, shorter, 1" longer barrel, and a hopefully even better suppressor
Might be a pistol for a bit, and might get a fancier LPVO
