What do you guys prefer for sling setups? I’ve never had anything but a 1 point sling on a pistol AR years ago but took it off cause I never used it. Now I’m looking for 1-2 slings to use on 3-4 rifles. I have a QD end plate on one of my rifles but also a Sopmod enhanced with a point for Quick detach but I’m not sure how to set it up. I’ve got a 6’6” wingspan so I’m not sure what would be most comfortable for me

2 point. Or get one that can go from 2 to 1. Single point isn't worth much unless you're just standing around.

I like my Magpul 2 point. I want to keep trying more slings but so far the adjustment slide on this has been the easiest and quickest for me to run.

I prefer putting one qd close to me on the handguard and then attaching to the opposite side of the stock. Some people prefer the sling to be further out on the handguard but that’s easy to play around with. I’d highly recommend opposite side of the stock though. QD end plates are really only useful for a 1 point.

And then when you take 1 step it busts you in the balls. A single point sling isn't worth the material it's build with. Only exception is vehicle ops and a PDW or 10.3. lol

Please excuse the dirty grout, and please ignore the red dot on the hand guard, i was trolling the PSA users fb group.
Here are my two favorite slings
The holland upper is running the Blue force gear Vickers sling
The A1 is running a silent sling with the quick adjustment strap from an alice pack shoulder strap.
Both can and have ran qd's on both ends.

I like 2 point slings. For my AR pistol I have a Proctor sling. It’s simple and light. That’s all I need for my pistol which is my go to for HD.

I have a Blue Force Vickers sling on different AR. It’s a little more heavy duty. I really like it too.

Just go on YT and watch a bunch of sling videos. You’ll see that the Vickers gets good reviews.

Or you could make your own:

It's good, but I find it can beat your neck up if you're doing a lot of maneuvering with the rifle. The stitching is exposed big time.

I put it on a recce that doesn't get run as hard and it's GTG there.

My new range allows night shooting. Was fun ringing steel with the Recce in the dark but white light only gets you so far. Very tempted to either sell a couple firearms I don’t use or save up this year for nods.

I thought so too until i weighed my tango6 with the rings attached. Only .3 oz less than the 1-3-9. So i was pretty stoked about that.

If i do it, it'll be around tax time. Thats a big chunk of money honestly. Probably sell the tango6 to not hurt the wallet that bad. Wish they came in that bronze color like the DR does.

I’ve been curious about these too. I need an optic for my FAL and idk if this would work. The 1-8 Accupower that I had on it was way too heavy. Not sure how it compares weight wise.

ETA: 30oz vs. 38.5oz for the Accupower+Mount. Good amount of weight savings. The Elcan probably isn’t too heavy for a 1-9 optic.

I added a matech for now, but I might slap on the #38-EX underneath the ACOG. Long ass neck and head problems...

Just need to get haveblue to mod up a PRI recce rail, and attach a short rail section underneath and on the side for a broomhandle and light.

Only thing remotely bad ive heard is that for some people on 9x the reticle can be hard to see on certain color targets. I'd have to se that personally.
I wonder what round and barrel length the 5.56 bdc reticle is intended for. Im going to assume either 855A1 or mk262.

I have some Googling to do.

It honestly looks like it'd be pretty easy to adapt the PRI recce rail and short rail sections.
Probably slide an aluminum backer in and "riv-nut" it to mount the rail sections.

The rail sections will be really easy. Just holes for the screws, and the PRI rail sections already have a backer. The recce rail will just need the front "foot" modified because the PRI rail it is supposed to fit on has an external diameter of 2.00" and the Armalite is 2.25". So I just need it shortened by 0.125" and radius cut (I think that's what he called it) for a 2.25" resting platform.

How do you like the BDC turrets?
Was considering ordering one for my tango6 in the meantime because its only 60 dollars . Sig will tailor it specific to my setup

Dont listen to me on the price, idk where the hat i pulled that from even came from to be honest.

Molyresin or bust

Molyresin, when baking, makes the house smell like a vinyl based chemical accident.

Think cheap chinese blow up pool toy smell, x20.
