Thanks!
Knock off of Arson Machine Co. MLOK WireGuide.
Arson has been out of stock for some time now and I decided to give these ones a go.
Worked just fine and didn't have any issues; not bad for $10.

Everyone has to start somewhere right? I was gonna throw this on this 14.5 FN barreled upper. But I think I'm just gonna build the whole thing out starting with the rail. Also building an 11.5 urgi.

FYI-Big Army finally approved for general issue last month black/tan CTR stocks, B5 black/tan stocks and Hogue black stocks all with QD mounts on them.  They will trickle down onto remaining guns.

Not to my knowledge as the DD barrels are in short supply ie have to be ordered specifically for replacement of a URGI.  Have plenty of older barrels for RIS II.

Any chance those new DD RIS III uppers will make the cut at some point? They look interesting. I’m thinking of picking up the full RIS III. Kind of narrowed it down to the RIS III or the Sig Spear LT. I’ve been waiting to see what the final fix for the bendy barrel issue with the Spear is.

That I can't answer. Could be a COTS thing that isn't in the general supply chain.

This is interesting. The AF is known to do their own thing. But is this a showcase of some sort?

You know it’s a Florida base when there are center console boats in the background.

There has been 3 different rifles pictured with RIS IIIs. All with the AF, so it seems that they have purchased at least a handful of them.

2 quick Questions:

1. are the issued 10.3 mk16 rails for the 11.5" URGI Geissele marked on one side and NSN marked on the other like the longer version for 14.5? I didnt want to build an 11.5 but the rail was on a good sale, however is not NSN marked and due to my autism  that may more may not be a problem

2. What upper is this? this is the largest resolution i could find, it is a 1st special forces group training day photo op. The upper appears to have two raised  marks, only one i can think of is a colt canada with the Diemaco D next to a forge mark? Any other ideas?

Couldn’t you have simply bought the G URGI near clone upper from them?

I’m about to pull the trigger on one (for non-clone reasons). Is the G upper not quality enough that it would be better to go another route?

https://geissele.com/urg-i-complete-near-clone-14-5-5-56mm.html

May as well ask here…is this upper good? Trying to build a pretty darn good rifle, and this is my upper of choice. But seeing you guys build rather than buy this upper makes me wonder if it’s not quality?

I’m sure it’s great quality!  But for clone purposes, I needed/wanted the correct DD barrel and gas block and Colt upper.
