1.70 its the perfect height for a scoped carbine. 1.93 gets to be a pain while prone.

Neat, thanks. Couple actually look like this neck of the woods, heading into the DZ at the base nearby.  (except for all the funny little white things on the highway headin' over the pass)

Interesting to see they finally caught onto those. They are lighter than the B5/LMT SOPMOD and lockup solid. I've been running them for a few years now. My only issue with them is the QD isn't a stud and only lets you insert one way. But I fixed that with a PMM Sling Mount Socket and some hardware.

AND THEY DON'T RAPE YOUR BEARD HAIR EITHER.

The URGI made its first kill on a spruce grouse over the weekend. Unfortunately I didn’t think to take a proper pic with the bird up in the hills so all you get is this from my kitchen floor. I was hiking in with an empty pack frame to help a friend pack out a bull elk and decided to take the URGI in case of grouse or coyotes. Sure enough, this was roosted in a tree and I popped its head off at about 20 yards.

Edited for spelling

Be careful, someone is liable to jump out of the woodwork to tell you the smallest caliber that will take down a deer is .300 win mag

Horsehockey - go ahead & sleep in.
Old FOG tip.  Saturday & Sunday afternoons be in the woods between 10 & 2.  Let the lazy asses who can't sit for long, who are hungry,  who want to park their butt on the sofa in front of the football game, scare 'em around to ya as they meander back to the house.

The current state of my URGI.  Started with the near complete upper from the Primary Arms sale months ago.  They had the ACH available and grabbed it and the bolt at the time.  The rest has been collected up piece by piece with the G scope mount coming in recently - finally found one at evike.com.  Sighted in this weekend at indoor range, and I need to get out to WV to put lead on steel.

Vortex caps - it is one size fits all for eyepiece and O-24 (28-31 mm) for the objective.  The rubber skirt makes the nice and secure plus they fold flat.

All of your wildest light mounting dreams come true when you're a poor .  Seriously though I can't even run a 99051 with the light tucked that high but it's a perfect position for my setup.

Got all the major parts together and zeroed. I’m waiting on a tan EXPS3-0 and I have Razor on backorder, however the T2 makes for a really lightweight carbine. Have they been seen on issued rifles?

Have the Sigs have even shipped, since Leupold contested a modification to the contract and it was sustained?  Sig usually puts out a press release for everything, so I would have figured we'd see that, as well.

That is very much incorrect. The Sig's haven't been fielded yet as part of S-VPS, but the Nightforce most definitely has.

NF ATACRS are out there and have been seen on various rifles. Wether they are issued, unit purchases or personal purchases I can not say. I only have one on a URGI and I'm pretty sure it was from the test phase.

Sig's aren't being fielded yet, or even delivered to Crane yet for that matter. All components of SOCOM have been receiving the Nightforce, with USASOC being the last to get them out. Just because you haven't seen them or don't know somebody who has, doesn't mean it's not happening.
