Yeah the receiver had the BURST and M4 crosses off and AUTO and M4A1 was engraved instead. So for my UID tag I should just stick to the known part number for the M4A1 posted here?
|
|
|
It did have the BURST and the M4 markings crossed off and instead it had AUTO and M4A1 on the receiver.
So for my own mk18 block III build would I better off going with the standard colt part number and disregard this FN one? |

Is it the short Geissele URG-I? Anyway for a Mk18 you should use an M4A1 UID. Only a few Mk18 Mod0s were on old M16A1 lowers. |
|
|
Yeah my phone messed up and I didn’t think it posted so when I went to write another post they both popped up lol.
Yeah a “block III” has a Geissele rail on the front. It didn’t really exist but it’s more common now or so I’ve seen. Good to know about the UID I’ll be placing my order tonight! |

I’ve bought a couple of tags from CLW and they are awesome. One I have on my SOPMOD Block 1 clone and the other I got for my Glock 19 Gen5 MOS. Haven’t put it on so far.
Has anyone used the tag on the bottom of a Glock trigger guard? Any issues with it when shooting 2 handed and your support hand finger rubbing on it while shooting? I haven’t mounted mine yet and don’t want to have an issue and not be able to get it back off. My Block 1 clone with UID Attached File |

I added a Glock cage code for the Headquarters and main factory of Glock in Deutsch-Wagram, Austria - S5591. Looking up the Deutsch-Wagram, Ferlach and Smyrna cage codes, Armyproperty.com only shows NSN's with the USA-Smyrna cage of 0N2S7. It shows 95 NSN's of mostly parts but also 7 Glock pistols, most being 19's. This would indicate to me that the USA Glock cage would be the most correct since apparently that entity is where the US military obtains Glock pistols and parts. Glock-Ferlach, cage of 0143N, I don't believe they manufacture Glock pistols. Maybe parts but I want to say they may manufacture much of Glock's machine tools as Glock builds all there own tooling. Not real sure but I don't know of any pistols coming from there.
Updated CAGE code list: Colt - 13629 FN - 3S679 Brownells - 12238 Range Tool - 6M7X8 Aero Precision - 1WXY6 LMT - 3W544 Larue - 5YS77 BCM - 342X6 Bushmaster (Windham, ME) - 7Z500 Bushmaster (Ilion, NY) - 6B9L5 Daniel Defense - 3E3E2 Mega - 3DS19 Palmetto State Armory - 7XC20 Windham Weaponry - 6MM23 Remington - multiple DPMS - 40554 KAC - 1S002 McKay Enterprises - 6K2W5 Rock River - 1TCL8 Noveske - 431U5 LWRC - 52RX1 S & W - 55358 Ruger - multiple Stag - 488B1 Mossberg - 41758 Armalite (Illinois) - 1PV46 Crane NSWC - 5ZJP7 LRB Arms - 4WZ76 Colt Canada (Diemaco) - 2C085 Magpul - 1LX50 Sabre Defence - 3C4V9 Sig Sauer - 6ZWB1 Balimoy - 2U894 Geissele - 43VN9 Troy - 3EZ11 PRI - 0A8R7 Tapco - 3E2Q7 Barrett - 0BT64 Glock (Austria-Ferlach) - 0143N Glock (Austria - Deutsch-Wagram) - S5591 Glock (USA) - 0N2S7 Here is a photo of my 19 with a custom made UID from Carolina Laser Works with the cage code added to it. I just wanted to make a comment regarding Carolina laser works. I recently placed an order for a tag and it was shipped very promptly. I waited a week and never received it so I emailed the company. A gentlemen emailed me back almost immediately apologizing for me not receiving it and advised he would send another one out the next day free of charge. As this was probably a fault with the post office I offered to pay for another one or at least cover the shipping charges and he refused to take any money. This is great customer service that is very rare in today’s world. So if you need a tag please don’t hesitate to order from these guys. Needless to say, I will be ordering another one for my other rifles.

*Finally* about to place an order for some of these for all the damn Palmetto lowers I bought over the past year.
Just want to confirm, have we standardized on the .75” square ones? I’ll be buying some for M4A1s, M16A2s, and M16A4s... yes, multiple lowers of each. :-D. Though I may never build them all out... Also, do these get installed slightly forward of center on the right side magwell? Thanks! |
